Every time on second Wednesday in March, No Smoking Day is marked to educate people about the harmful consequences of smoking and to urge them to stop.

A single puff of a cigarette exposes the smoker to millions of free radicals, which can harm many different body cells in the process. Here are a few celebrities that have given up smoking.

Ranbir Kapoor

During the making of ‘Barfi,’ Ranbir Kapoor and director Anurag Basu made a friendly bet about stopping smoking. On the other hand, the friendly bet turned out to be a life-changing experience for the actor. He joked that if anybody discovered him smoking that day, they could murder him, burn him, and label him a fake. He also reportedly made a bet with his mother, Neetu Kapoor, that he would stop smoking because of his passion for the sport of football, and he won.

To stop smoking, Arjun Rampal received assistance from the Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik is said to have assisted him in following the measures that he followed after quitting smoking.
