A prayer meeting was organized for the soul of late Raju Srivastava in Mumbai’s ISKCON temple on Sunday. Where many stars of the film industry prayed for the peace of the departed soul. Raju Srivastava leaving everyone like this was very painful. It was such an emotional moment that cannot be expressed in words. On this occasion, Sunil Pal, stating the last wish of Raju Srivastava, and demanded Bharat Ratna for him. So, Johnny Lever said that we lost that stage show star whose lack cannot be compensated.

Sunil Pal, who was very close to Raju Srivastava, told that Raju Bhai’s last wish was that his biopic should be made. Sunil Pal says, ‘Raju bhai was like our guru, and elder brother. He wanted his biopic to be made. His life has been quite a struggle. Struggled on foot, drove auto to earn a living. He wanted people to take inspiration from his life and move forward. Raju Bhai has brought happiness to every household through stage, TV, and films. He has been the beloved of India. I request the government to posthumously confer Bharat Ratna on him.’

On the other hand, Johnny Lever said, “We spent many years together. He started his struggle with me. We did a lot of stage shows together. He was my family member, younger brother, and also my neighbour. You can imagine how sad I must have been. I had gone to Delhi to pray for him. His passing has caused a huge loss to the stage world. He made a lot of name in standup comedy, no one could replace him. We had met during an event only two months ago. I didn’t knew that it was our last meeting.’

Sugandha Mishra also got emotional during Raju Srivastava’s prayer meeting. She told, ‘I started my career by watching Raju Srivastava. He always used to motivate me. Once I was on tour with him for two months, and never seen him in anger. He was always smiling. Last time we met him during the program of Mumbai Police. He will always be missed, when the news of his death was heard, the heart stopped beating for a moment.’
